Established in 1873, Clarendon Hills is a wonderful sleepy little town located along the Burlington Northern train line. This mature, charming little town of 8000 residents is easily identified by its winding roads, mature trees, and gently rolling hills. Clarendon Hills is a wonderful family oriented town, and also boasts some of the best schools in Illinois.
Clarendon Hills is covered by two high school districts. Hinsdale Central High School and Westmont High School. It is important to know the distriction between these two schools.
Some of the most popular events the village sponsors are 'Daisy Days' during the first weekend in June and 'Dancin' in the Streets' every Wednesday evening during the summer.
The Burlington Northern railroad has one stop in downtown Clarendon Hills. Express trains will reach the Loop in 25 minutes and locals in roughly 43 minutes. The village is located in close proximity to I-55, I-294, I-290, I-88, and between O’Hare and Midway airports..

Country House - Great burgers. I've been going here for over 30 years.
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen - I love Cajun food, and Pappadeaux does an excellent job with it. The Crawfish Etouffee over Dirty Rice is my favorite. They also do a proper job of cooking fish, which is surprisingly something difficult to find in the western suburbs.
Standard Market - My favorite grocery store in the area. The Standard Market Grill in the store has some delicious healthy options, and the wine bar is a perfect place to get a glass of wine and some specialty cheese from their own cheese cave.
